Commercial Long v Short Open Interest Percentage

Every COTS report lists the Open Interest for each group, Commercial and Non Commercial.

The Commercial reading shows what 'the professionals' are doing - the guys that make their living from Forex Trading.

They are usually a little bit ahead of the rest of us, and its advisable not to bet against them. Commercials normally have a little bit more inside information, and, rely on the speculators to take the other side of the trade. 

The graph below is a multi series bar chart showing the Commitments of Traders Commercial Long v Short Open Interest percentage. The graph on this screen plots the numbers circled in red for the specified time frame. That way you can see, for the specific group, what percentage of open interest they have.

If you are looking to see the Commercial vs Non-Commercial data (Reportable positions), please select it from the Commitments of Traders menu above.
